Stir Cafe, Histon, CB24.
Stir is an independent cafe in the CB24 neighbourhood of Cambridge. Owned by local residents, it aims to be, like Stir, Chesterton, another social hub of the community.
We are proud to serve Assembly coffee along with bread, pastries and cakes all freshly made and hand prepared in our Bakery in CB4. Most of all, we are known for serving a fresh, delicious and wholesome brunch that changes seasonally.
Our Coffee
We proudly source our coffee from Assembly, an independent, award winning coffee roastery based in Brixton, London. As well as sourcing and roasting the highest quality coffee available, they are also proudly Carbon Neutral certified.
We understand that great coffee needs a lot of passion and thought given to the preparation to ensure the fantastic flavour of the beans is properly nurtured and released. This is why we employ Baristas as passionate about coffee as we are and are also very proud of our La Marzocco KB90 too!
You may note that we serve our coffee, like all good specialist cafes, at a slightly lower temperature. This is done to ensure we preserve the texture and flavour of the milk. If you would like your coffee hotter, please just ask!
Our range of coffee beans are also available for retail purchase in the cafe and we will happily grind them to your specific needs.
Our Food
Our menu keeps on growing! Freshly prepared with pride and passion by our team of wonderful chefs, our extensive brunch menu is served daily and with monthly specials popping up, we hope to keep you coming back for more! All of our bread is handcrafted at the Stir Bakery in CB4 and the rest comes from local suppliers where possible.
We have lots of gluten free and vegan options. Just ask us if you have any dietary requirements and we will gladly adapt! Pretty much all of our Brunch options can be made with our Stir Bakery Gluten-free bread. Having just won Britain’s Best Gluten Free Loaf in 2022, we definitely know what we are doing!
